ABOUT OUR COMPANY


kidslyingInteract Behavior Consulting (IBC) provides services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities in the San Francisco Bay Area and East Bay regions of Northern California.

Our company is committed to creating individualized programs for each child that are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). IBC's mission is to teach our clients the skills needed to make progress towards independence and to train family, staff, and educators in the best methods for supporting the client's needs.

We employ only highly qualified professionals to work directly with our clients and client families. At Interact Behavior Consulting we limit the number of families we take onto our individual caseloads in order to provide the optimal level of service for each client. Each staff member is held to a strict code of ethics as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).


ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
KRISTA CANON, M.A., BCBA

kristaKrista Canon received her master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley. She has worked with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities for over 14 years, and has experience in educational programming, parent training, data-driven assessments and classroom consultation. 



As a consultant for teachers and professionals in the bay area, Krista collaborated with school district administrators in developing and reconstructing special education classrooms. She was on the founding team at The May Institute Pediatric Specialty Center, where she assessed, designed, implemented and supervised home and center-based programs for Early Intervention clients, social skills groups and conducted trainings on ABA-based methodologies. During her graduate school practicum, Krista taught in special education classrooms that utilized the CABAS® (Comprehensive Application of Behavior Analysis to Schooling) method of instruction, where she created lesson plans and teaching programs for grades kindergarten to middle-school in classrooms designed to support students with various disabilities including autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional disabilities. She was trained to utilize Dr. Greer's verbal behavior protocols to induce verbal capabilities in children with language delays. 



Krista teaches graduate level coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2008.
